  • Innovation Webinar: Advance Pay

    June 23, 2011
Are you interested in moving to Advance Pay for Pell Grants or Direct Loans? Beginning 2011-2012, schools will no longer receive an Initial Authorization to draw from to cover their Pell Grant disbursements. Schools will now have to report disbursements prior to drawing down those funds. With Advance Pay, the school will NOT have to front the money prior to disbursement to the student's account. The Advance Pay functionality in Banner will allow you to report an 'authorized' disbursement to COD so you can then draw down the funds prior to payment to the student’s account. Additionally, for 2011-2012, Banner now also allows Advance Pay for Direct Loans.

Join us for this webinar at 3:00 p.m. on June 23 on Advance Pay for Pell and Direct Loans and we will discuss the following:
    -Benefits of Advance Pay
    -Setup for Advance Pay
    -Processing for Advance Pay
    -Question and Answer Session

  • Explore the Possibilities

    August 16, 2011

Streamlining business processes, controlling costs, and improving data security are all very good reasons for your institution to consider a document management solution.  And when doing the right thing for your institution also means doing the right thing for the environment, it’s a win-win.

Learn how Banner Document Management Suite (BDMS) can help departments across your campus—from finance to human resources to the registrar—capture paper-based content and convert it into electronic images—significantly reducing the cost of managing complex paper trails and dramatically lessening your carbon footprint.  If you are unable to join us for these sessions, we will post the session recording and slides to the Commons.

  • Improving, Reducing and Increasing Institutional Potential

    August 18, 2011

Each day, institutions produce hundreds of thousands of acceptance letters, tuition bills, financial aid letters, contracts, invoices and internal reports.  These important documents are printed, faxed, or mailed to students, parents, faculty, and administration while copies are manually filed for records.  As critical as these documents are for communication and record-keeping, once they are sent or filed away, their lack of instant, secure availability can unfortunately hinder rather than help customer service and information access needs.

Banner Document Management Suite (BDMS) with ApplicationXtender (AX) Reports Management improves customer service and information access by automatically filing Banner output and other digital documents without the need for printing, scanning, or manual filing.  With BDMS and AX Reports Management, institutional staff can immediately and securely view identical copies of sent materials or digital documents from their workspace and familiar Banner Open Digital Campus products.

This session will introduce AX Reports Management and demonstrate the automatic filing of institution-generated documents and their secure access from BDMS.   By attending this session you will see how to increase customer service and satisfaction while improving business processes and reducing costs.

If you are unable to join us for these sessions, we will post a recording to the Commons.
